Welcome to the website for the Rogue Valley District of the Oregon Music Teachers Association (OMTA). RVMTA was established in 1953 as an affiliate of OMTA and the Music Teachers National Association (MTNA), the oldest professional organization of independent and collegiate music teachers in the United States.

We currently have 35 members teaching in communities from Cave Junction, Oregon to Yreka, California, offering piano, string and vocal lessons.

Our organization offers students many opportunities to perform in recitals, festivals and competitions locally and and at the state level.

Our Mission Statement:

To advance the value of music study and music making to society, and to support the professionalism of music teachers.
